Honor Roll:
At the end of each marking period, students meeting the following requirements will be named to the Honor Roll or High Honors Roll:
Honors - Weighted average of 90 - 94
High Honors - Weighted average of 95 or above.

Class of 2025 &2026
Summa Cum Laude- 96.50-100.00
Magna Cum Laude- 95.00-96.49
Cum Laude - 94.00-94.99
Class of 2027 and Beyond
Summa Cum Laude - 98.00 and above
Magna Cum Laude- 96.00-97.99
Cum Laude-94.00-95.99
National Honor Society
Students:
Must have a cumulative average of 88 un-weighted in order to apply.
Must demonstrate leadership and dedication in their classes and in extracurricular activities/athletics.
Must also demonstrate extensive and meaningful community service. The service must reflect a consistent commitment to the organization/ cause over an extended period of time (ex: shelters, nursing homes, youth groups, town volunteer programs, girl scouts, boy scouts, etc.)
A minimum of 10 hours of community service per school year is required
Are encouraged to begin building their resume and obtain documentation of service during their Freshman year so as to have a well rounded experience each year leading up to their Junior year when they become eligible to apply.
Students must provide documentation of outside community service activities, including number of hours and responsibilities.
Numeric Weighting System Class of 2025 & 2026
Weighting of courses affects a student’s weighted average. Report card grades and final averages as listed on the transcript are not weighted. The Multiplication Formula for computing weighted averages is as follows:
The difference between the final grade and 100 is multiplied by –
Phase 5 - .50 Advanced Placement Level Courses
Phase 4 - .40 Honors and College Level Courses
Phase 3 - .30 Regents & Elective Courses
Phase 2 - .20 General & Non-Regents Level Courses
The sum is then added to the original grade
Art & Music Classes – Will be graded numerically on phase 3
Physical Education Classes – Will receive a numeric grade but grades will not be factored into GPA
