This is to inform you that JSPS has announced an open call for
applications for Researcher Exchange Program for FY2027.
To apply for this program, please read the guidelines carefully,
and submit your application as follows.
NOTE: In this program, applicants must be a citizen of
Japan or a foreign national with permanent residency
status in Japan.
<Program outline>
The aim of these programs is to form sustained networks
evolved from individual researcher exchanges including young
researchers. JSPS provides financial support to Japanese
researchers visiting counterpart countries to carry out
research and/or discussions with researchers in those
countries.
<Counterpart countries in FY2027>
(1) Counterpart Countries: Estonia

【今年度の対象分野】
生理学・医学分野
【リンダウ・ノーベル賞受賞者会議について】
本会議は、世界各地の若手研究者の育成を目的として1951年に開
設され、毎年リンダウ（Lindau：ドイツ南部のボーデン湖に面する
保養地）において1週間程度の日程で開催されています。毎回30名
程度のノーベル賞受賞者が招かれ、世界各地から集った若手研究者
に対して講演を行うとともに、参加者とのディスカッションに応じ
るもので、若手研究者にとっては、受賞者と昼夜親しく接して大き
な知的刺激を受けると同時に、世界中に研究者ネットワークを形成
する絶好の機会となっています。
物理学、化学、生理学・医学の自然科学3分野から、毎年左の順
序で1分野を対象とする会議がローテーションで行われるが、5年ご
とにこのローテーションを止めて、3分野合同会議が挟み込まれま
す。また、2～3年ごとに経済学分野が追加的に開催されます。

・大学等学術研究機関に所属している者
・2027年7月2日（金）時点で博士課程学生かポスドク研究者

< About "Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings" >
Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings have been held since 1951.
They take place for about a week once every year in Lindau,
an island resort on the eastern side of Lake Constance, the
Bodensee, located in Southern Germany. About 30 Nobel
Laureates are invited to the meetings, to give lectures and
participate in panel discussions with young researchers from
around the world.
Every year, the meetings alternate their focus between the
three natural science disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and
Physiology/Medicine. A meeting on Economic Sciences has been
held every two or three years since 2004, and an
Interdisciplinary Meeting (Physics, Chemistry,
Physiology/Medicine) has been held every five years since
2000 in place of a usual natural science meeting in either
of the three disciplines.
The meetings dedicate to foster highly talented young
researchers by providing them with opportunities to talk
with Nobel Laureates in a casual setting all day, which
would stimulate their intellectual curiosity. They also
offer the best chances to build international peer networks.

Applicants need to meet all the following conditions.
1. Those who have Japanese nationality or permanent
residential permission in Japan.
2. Those who are Doctoral Students or Postdoctoral Scientists
in universities or research institute as of July 2, 2027

applications for Bilateral Joint Research Projects/Seminars for
FY2027.
To apply for this program, please read its guidelines carefully,
and submit your application as follows.
<Program outline>
The aim of these programs is to form sustained networks
evolved from individual scientist exchanges including young
scientists. JSPS provides financial support to Japanese
scientists implementing such bilateral joint research
projects and seminars between research teams from Japan and
counterpart countries.
The Bilateral Joint Research Projects/Seminars is
comprised of two components:
(A) Bilateral Joint Research Projects/Seminars with JSPS’s
Counterpart Institutions and
(B) Open Partnership Joint Research Projects/Seminars. Open
Partnership Joint Research Projects/Seminars provides
Japanese researchers an opportunity to conduct
research/seminar with researchers around the world who
reside in a country that has diplomatic relations with
Japan. (JSPS also treats researchers who reside in Taiwan
and Palestine in this manner.)
