本学では、地域中核・特色ある研究大学強化促進事業（J-PEAKS）の下、学内の
ユニークかつ独創的な強みや特色となる分野融合研究や応用研究について段階的
に研究費や拠点形成経費の支援を行い、北海道大学として今後の注力すべき
Excellence や Extensionの研究拠点の形成を目指す、「連携研究プラットフォー
ム事業」を実施しております。
令和８年度において、同事業のうち「インキュベーションステージ」研究ユニッ

Notice Regarding an Information Session on the New Call for Proposals for the J-PEAKS Collaborative Research Platform Program
Under the Regional Core and Distinctive Research University Strengthening and Promotion Project (J-PEAKS), Hokkaido University is implementing the “Collaborative Research Platform Project.” This initiative provides phased support in the form of research grants and funding for the establishment of research centers for interdisciplinary and applied research that leverage the University’s unique and innovative strengths and distinctive characteristics. The goal is to establish research centers focused on “Excellence” and “Extension”—areas on which Hokkaido University should concentrate its efforts in the future.
We are pleased to announce that, in preparation for the new call for proposals for “Incubation Stage” research units under this program for FY2026, we will hold an information session as detailed in the attached document.

次世代ソフトマテリアル共創拠点(C3-SMART)では「学生共同研究チャレンジ」を実施いたします。
本制度は、新たな研究分野や異分野の融合に向けた基盤づくりとして、
拠点参画者が有する独自の技術や装置を活用した学内学生との共同研究を広く募集するものです。
参画者が確立した技術や手法を活かし、学生が最先端の研究現場に触れて専門的な技術を直接学ぶことで、
実践的なスキルを身につける機会を提供します。
こうした技術の継承と人的ネットワークの構築を促進することで、持続的な学内連携の基盤づくりにもつなげることを目的としています。
【対象者】
拠点参画者と共同で研究を行う、北海道大学の学生（学部生、修士課程、博士課程）
※拠点参画者の研究室に所属している学生は対象外です。

Announcement: Call for Applications for the FY2026 “Student Collaborative Research Challenge” at the Next-Generation Soft Materials Co-creation Hub (C3-SMART)
The Co-Creation Core for Soft Materials Aspiring Research & Translation (C3-SMART) is launching the “Student Collaborative Research Challenge.”
This program aims to lay the groundwork for new research fields and interdisciplinary collaboration by broadly inviting proposals for collaborative research between hub participants and students on campus, utilizing the unique technologies and equipment possessed by the participants.
By leveraging the technologies and methodologies established by participating researchers, students will gain exposure to cutting-edge research environments and learn specialized techniques firsthand,thereby providing them with opportunities to acquire practical skills.
The program aims to foster the transfer of these technologies and the development of professional networks, thereby laying the groundwork for sustainable collaboration within the university.
[Eligibility]
Hokkaido University students (undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students) conducting research in collaboration with center participants.
*Students affiliated with a center participant’s laboratory are not eligible.

2026年度北海道大学情報基盤センター国際共同研究論文投稿支援事業
の実施について
情報基盤センターでは、学際大規模計算機システムを用いた国際的な共同研究の
増加を促進するため、当該共同研究の成果論文を国際学術論文誌へ投稿し掲載さ
れた際に著者の本学教員が負担する論文掲載料を助成する事業を実施いたします。
つきましては、公募要領等を別添のとおり送付しますので、
貴部局等の教職員にご周知いただきますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。
【概要】
１．支援対象者
北海道大学情報基盤センター学際大規模計算機システムを用いた国際共同研
究を実施している本学常勤教員
２．支援対象論文
以下の条件をいずれも満たすこと。
（１）インパクトファクターを有する国際学術論文誌への投稿論文であること
（２）北海道大学学際大規模計算機システムを用いた国際共同研究の成果であること
（３）著者に本学常勤教員及び海外研究機関の研究者をそれぞれ１名以上含むこと
（４）2026年4月1日～ 2027年2月26日の期間内に採択された論文であること
３．支援対象となる経費の種類
論文掲載料 ※著者が論文出版時に選択できるオープンアクセスオプション費を含む
（ただし本学経費にて支払うもののみとし、他機関にて支払うものを除く）

Implementation of the Hokkaido University Information Initiative Center FY2026 Support Program
for Submitting Papers from International Collaborative Research
To promote the growth of international collaborative research using the Interdisciplinary
Large-Scale Computing System, the Information Initiative Center operates a program that
provides grants to cover the publication fees incurred by authors (Hokkaido University Members)
when papers resulting from such collaborative research are submitted to and published in
international academic journals.
Accordingly, we are sending the application guidelines and other relevant documents as attached;
we kindly ask that you disseminate this information to the faculty and staff of your department or unit.
[Overview]
1. Eligible Recipients
Full-time faculty members of Hokkaido University who are conducting international collaborative research
using the Hokkaido University Interdisciplinary Large-Scale Computing System
2. Eligible Papers
Must meet all of the following conditions:
(1) The paper must be submitted to an international academic journal with an impact factor
(2) The paper must be the result of international collaborative research using the Hokkaido University Interdisciplinary Large-Scale Computing System
(3) The authors must include at least one full-time faculty member from this university and at least one researcher from an overseas research institution
(4) The paper must have been accepted between April 1, 2026, and February 26, 2027
3. Types of Eligible Expenses
Article processing charges *Including fees for open access options that authors can select at the time of publication
(However, only those paid from the University’s budget are eligible; those paid by other institutions are excluded)
4. Amount of Support, etc.
Amount of Support: Up to 300,000 yen per paper

本支援では、当該事業の一環として女性の学生及び大学院生が自身のキャリア形成について考える機会を提供するとともに、女性の博士課程への進学を後押しすることを目的に実施されるセミナー等の開催に対し、必要な経費の一部を支援します。

Therefore, we are implementing the following support to help female researchers at our university strengthen their leadership skills by organizing research meetings and to build networks that will lead to the development of research in which they play a central role.

This program supports a portion of the expenses necessary for holding symposiums, research meetings, etc., planned by female researchers of our university acting as representatives, up to a maximum of 200,000 JPY per project.

As part of this initiative, this program supports a portion of the expenses for organizing seminars and events aimed at providing female undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities to consider their own career development and encouraging them to advance to doctoral programs.

This program supports expenses necessary for holding seminars and similar events on campus that serve the above purposes, targeting female undergraduate and graduate students of our university, up to a maximum of 150,000 JPY per project.

● FY2026 "Support for Inviting Female Researchers"(Additional Call)
(Overview)
Having been selected for MEXT's "Initiative for Realizing Diversity in the Research Environment (Female Leader Development Type)" in FY2023, our university is working to promote the appointment of female researchers to senior positions and encourage their proactive recruitment. As part of this subsidized project, this support is implemented to realize a research environment where female researchers can thrive. We will support activities involving the invitation of external female researchers that contribute to improving the research capabilities of our female researchers, presenting role models of outstanding female researchers, and facilitating the recruitment and promotion of female researchers.
(Support Details)
This program supports a portion of the expenses related to the planning and implementation of both 1) and 2) below, up to a maximum of 200,000 JPY per project:
1. Seminars and research meetings featuring female researchers invited from outside the university as lecturers/speakers.

This program supports expenses necessary for implementing either of the following initiatives, up to a maximum of 150,000 JPY per project:
1. Holding study sessions, workshops, symposiums, seminars, etc., that contribute to DEI promotion, primarily targeting members (faculty, staff, students, etc.) of the affiliated department.
2. Initiatives such as developing or trialing systems to solve DEI-related issues faced by departments.

Notice Regarding the Upcoming Call for Proposals for the J-PEAKS Collaborative Research Platform Project
Under the Regional Core and Distinctive Research University Strengthening and Promotion Program (J-PEAKS), Hokkaido University is implementing the “Collaborative Research Platform Project.” This initiative provides phased support in the form of research grants and funding for the establishment of research hubs for interdisciplinary and applied research that leverage the University's unique and innovative strengths and distinctive characteristics. The goal is to establish research hubs focused on “Excellence” and “Extension”—areas on which Hokkaido University should concentrate its efforts in the future.
For the 2026 fiscal year, we are accepting new applications for “Incubation Stage” research units under this initiative. Please be advised that the schedule for the call for applications and selection process is as follows. We ask that you kindly disseminate this information to faculty and staff in your department or unit.
We will issue a separate notification once the application period begins.

技術連携統括本部総合研究基盤連携センター（GFC）では、
本学に整備されている先端研究設備の共同利用を推進するとともに、
技術人材の活躍促進に取り組んでいます。
令和7年7月には技術連携統括本部（ITeCH）を設置し、
GFCはその内部組織として位置付けられました。
これにより、技術協働と設備共用を一体的に推進し、
研究・教育力のさらなる強化を図っております。
「R&T（Researcher & Technician）コラボプロジェクト」は、
研究者と技術職員が協働して行う研究・教育活動を支援するもので、
多くの成果と新たな連携を生み出してきました。
これらの成果を受け、今年度も継続実施いたしますので、
貴部局の教員及び技術職員の方々へ広く周知いただけますよう、
よろしくお願いいたします。
なお、本事業は技術職員の参画を必須としておりますが、
分野横断型のプロジェクトの応募も可能なため、技術職員の
配置がない部局等へもお送りしておりますことを申し添えます。

The General Research Infrastructure Collaboration Center (GFC) within the Technology Collaboration Headquarters promotes the shared use of the university’s state-of-the-art research facilities and works to foster the active participation of technical personnel.
In July 2025, the Headquarters for Technology Collaboration (ITeCH) was established, and the GFC was positioned as an internal organization within it.
Through this, we are promoting technical collaboration and shared use of facilities in an integrated manner to further strengthen our research and educational capabilities.
The “R&T (Researcher & Technician) Collaboration Project” supports research and educational activities carried out collaboratively by researchers and technical staff, and has produced numerous achievements and fostered new collaborations.
In light of these achievements, we will continue this initiative this fiscal year.
We kindly ask that you widely publicize this information to faculty members and technical staff in your department or division.
Please note that while the participation of technical staff is mandatory for this program, applications for interdisciplinary projects are also accepted; therefore, we are also sending this notice to departments and divisions that do not have technical staff assigned to them.

Meeting of the Consortium for the Control of Zoonoses will be held on
4 September 2026. The meeting will be a joint symposium organized
by the International Institute for Zoonosis Control and the Institute for
Vaccine Research and Development.

The Hokkaido University Integrated URA Headquarters is pleased to announce the launch of a Collaborative Research Support Program aimed at promoting research exchange and collaboration among universities participating in the Hokkaido University Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “HUA”).
Under this program, we are soliciting applications for collaborative research projects led by a Hokkaido University researcher in partnership with researchers from other HUA member universities. In particular, to facilitate substantive research collaboration among HUA member universities, we will support the creation of opportunities for research exchange, including in-person meetings, study groups, and field surveys.

We will support research projects led by a researcher from Hokkaido University in collaboration with researchers from other HUA member universities.
■ Grant Amount 500,000 yen per project
■ Number of Projects Selected Approximately 10
■ Support Period October 1, 2026 – March 31, 2028
■Application Deadline Monday, August 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM
■Program Overview
This program targets research that contributes to solving regional issues and promoting regional development in Hokkaido, and supports the promotion of research exchange and collaboration among HUA member universities. We also welcome the development of research proposals and the building of networks with a view toward securing competitive research grants and advancing toward joint research in the future.
Please note that this program requires a researcher from Hokkaido University to serve as the principal investigator and involves a collaborative research structure with researchers from HUA member universities other than Hokkaido University. We encourage you to use this opportunity to establish new research collaborations with researchers from HUA member universities.

本プログラムは、科学技術と外交を連携し、相互に発展させる
「科学技術外交」の強化の一環として、文部科学省・外務省の支援のもと、
JSTと独立行政法人 国際協力機構（JICA）が連携して実施するものです。
開発途上国のニーズを基に、地球規模課題を対象とし、国際共同研究を政府開発援助（ODA）と連携して推進します。
本プログラムでは地球規模課題の解決および科学技術水準の向上につながる新たな知見や技術を獲得することや、これらを通じたイノベーションの創出を目的としています。
また、その国際共同研究を通じて開発途上国の自立的研究開発能力の向上と
課題解決に資する持続的活動体制の構築を図ります。
SATREPSはODAとの連携事業です。
相手国研究機関から相手国のODA担当省庁を通じ、
日本政府に対する技術協力要請が行われる必要があります。
技術協力要請書の受付は令和8年6月末頃に開始予定です。
また、提出期限は日本側公募締切より早く、10月13日(火)を予定しています。
相手国政府内での手続きに時間を要することがありますが、相手国の事情によらず締切までに要請書が日本政府に届いていなければなりません。
相手国政府内での締切は国によって異なり、上記10月13日（日本時間）より前に設定されることが通常です。
相手国での要請手続きや所要手数等について、相？国研究者を通して相？国担当省庁へお早めにご確認ください。
また、ODA要請書の様式についても、各国のODA担当省庁が定めていますので、
相手国側研究機関から所管省庁又はODA担当省庁に照会し受領してください。
■公募概要（予定）
＊対象分野：環境・エネルギー／生物資源／防災
（注）感染症分野については、平成28年度より国立研究開発法人日本医療研究開発機構（AMED）が公募を行っています。

The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) plans to begin accepting research proposals for the FY2027 Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) program starting in August 2026. We look forward to receiving your applications.

This program is jointly implemented by JST and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). It is part of an initiative to strengthen "Science and Technology Diplomacy," which links and mutually advances both science/technology and diplomacy. Based on the needs of developing countries, the program promotes international joint research targeting global issues in coordination with Official Development Assistance (ODA).
The goal of this program is to acquire new knowledge and technologies that lead to the resolution of global issues and the advancement of scientific and technological standards, thereby generating innovation. Furthermore, through these international joint research efforts, it aims to enhance the independent R&D capacity of developing countries and establish a sustainable operational structure that contributes to problem-solving.
SATREPS is a collaborative program with ODA. It requires a request for technical cooperation to be submitted to the Japanese government from the counterpart research institution via the counterpart country's ministry/agency in charge of ODA.Acceptance of requests for technical cooperation is scheduled to begin around the end of June 2026.The submission deadline is tentatively set for Tuesday, October 13**, which is earlier than the Japanese side's application deadline. Although internal procedures within the counterpart government may take time, the request must reach the Japanese government by the deadline, regardless of the counterpart country's circumstances. Internal deadlines within counterpart governments vary by country and are usually set well before the aforementioned October 13 (Japan Time). Please confirm the request procedures and required steps as early as possible with the relevant ministry in the counterpart country through your counterpart researcher. Additionally, since the format of the ODA request form is designated by each country's ODA ministry/agency, please ensure that the counterpart research institution inquires with and obtains the correct form from their competent ministry or ODA agency.

Target Fields: Environment and Energy / Bioresources / Disaster Prevention and Mitigation
(Note: For the field of Infectious Diseases, the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) has been conducting the call for proposals since FY2016.

なお、本事業は「府省共通研究開発管理システム（e-Rad）」を通じた応募となり、

遺漏のないよう周知・ご対応いただけますようお願いいたします。

（２）学内受付締切までに行う関係手続きについて
① 部局事務担当は、応募する研究者に、e-Radで課題登録を完了させてください。
② 課題登録後、部局事務担当は「形式チェックツール」等により不備がないことを確認の上、
e-Radでの事務分担者承認を完了してください。
③ 事務分担者承認後、部局事務担当は上記学内受付締切までに、
添付Excel様式により所掌部局内の応募課題を取りまとめのうえ、
研究振興企画課宛てに電子メールで、機関承認の依頼を行ってください。
④ 機関承認後、研究振興企画課は、部局事務担当宛てに電子メールで、承認が完了した旨連絡します。

○ 第１回公募からの主な変更点
・第１回から各申請様式が変更されていますので、必ず第２回様式を提出願います。
「様式1_研究計画調書」は英語版が提供されていますので、必要に応じてご活用願います。
・第１回公募で必須とされていた「AIインタビュー」の事前実施は不要となりました。
・申請書類の形式上の不備を補助的に確認できる「形式チェックツール」が提供されています。
貴部局内で機関承認依頼前に活用いただき、申請書類の精度向上にご協力願います。
○ 重複応募の制限について
第１回公募に応募し、採択された研究者は第２回目公募に応募することはできません。
第１回公募の結果が未確定の段階で第２回公募へ応募することは可能ですが、
応募後に第１回公募に採択された場合は第２回公募への応募は審査対象外となります。
なお、第１回公募の審査結果は、6/22週の前半を目途に通知・公表される見込みです。
（詳細は必ず公募要領、FAQ等をご確認ください。）

Key changes from the 1st call:
Each application form has been updated since the 1st call, so please be sure to submit the 2nd call forms. An English version is available for "Form 1_Research Proposal Document," so please utilize it as needed.
The preliminary implementation of the "AI Interview," which was mandatory in the 1st call, is no longer required.
A "Format Check Tool" is provided to help confirm formatting deficiencies in the application documents. Please utilize this within your department before requesting institutional approval to help improve the accuracy of the application documents.
Restrictions on duplicate applications:
Researchers who applied for and were selected in the 1st call cannot apply for the 2nd call.
It is possible to apply for the 2nd call while the results of the 1st call are still pending. However, if the applicant is subsequently selected in the 1st call after applying, their application for the 2nd call will be excluded from the review process.
The screening results for the 1st call are expected to be notified and published around the first half of the week of June 22. (Please be sure to check the application guidelines, FAQ, etc., for details.)

Having been selected for MEXT's "Initiative for Realizing Diversity in the Research Environment (Female Leader Development Type)" in FY2023, our university is working to promote the appointment of female researchers to senior positions and encourage their proactive recruitment. As part of this subsidized project, this support is implemented to realize a research environment where female researchers can thrive. We will support activities involving the invitation of external female researchers that contribute to improving the research capabilities of our female researchers, presenting role models of outstanding female researchers, and facilitating the recruitment and promotion of female researchers.

Ⅰ．「短期滞在支援」：１件あたり150万円を上限に支援（採択見込件数：６件）
Ⅱ．「長期滞在支援」：１件あたり500万円を上限に支援（採択見込件数：２件）
【要件（共通）】
１) 申請対象者
・本学に所属する令和９年３月末日時点で博士取得後15年以内の教員（特任教員を含む）、博士研究員及び大学院博士後期課程学生
（博士取得後16年以上の研究者についても出産・子育て・介護などのライフイベントのため、研究を中断した場合には当該期間を考慮）
２) 対象となる海外渡航
・上記１）の申請者の海外渡航で、所属部局等および渡航先の受入機関の了承のもと、2026年度中に渡航し、受入先である大学・研究機関等で研究活動を行うものとします。ただし、申請者が博士研究員又は大学院生である場合、所属する研究室を主宰する教員又は指導教員の推薦を得ることを条件とします。
３) 応募条件
・受入先の研究グループにTOP10％論文（若しくはそれに相当する実績）を有する著者が在籍していること。又は、申請者自身に TOP10％論文（若しくはそれに相当する実績）があり、渡航先との共同研究でインパクトの高い論文を執筆する見通しがあること。
・申請者は受入機関の研究グループと支障なく研究を進めることができる語学力を有すること。
４） 滞在中、又は滞在後に取り組むべきこと（①、②いずれか、又は両方）
①TOP10％論文や国際共著論文の増加に資する取組
②科研費「国際共同研究強化」やJST「先端国際共同研究推進事業」等への申請

[Scope of the Program]
I. Short-Term Stay Grant: Awards up to 1,500,000 yen per project(Projected number of awards: 6)
II. Long-Term Stay Grant: Awards up to 5,000,000 yen per project(Projected number of awards: 2)
[Application Requirements]
1) Eligibility
HU faculty members (including specially appointed academic staff), postdoctoral fellows, and students in the latter period of doctoral programs who are within 15 years of obtaining their doctoral degree as of March 31, 2027.
For researchers who are 16 or more years past the conferral of their doctoral degree and have interrupted their research careers in the past due to life events such as childbirth, child care, or elderly care, the period of interruption will be taken into consideration in the selection process.
2) Criteria for Eligible Travel
・The applicant in section (1) above must travel abroad during FY2026 and conduct research activities at the host university or research institution under the approval of their affiliated department or institute, and the host organization.
However, when the applicant is a postdoctoral fellow or a graduate student, they must obtain a recommendation from the faculty member who directs the laboratory they belong to or their academic supervisor.
3) Conditions for Application
・The host research group must have an author of a top 10% paper (or equivalent achievement). Or the applicant has a top 10% paper (or equivalent achievement) of their own and is reasonably expected to write a high-impact paper in the joint research project with the host organization.

主 旨：2026年3月に北海道大学Climate Action Planが策定されました。
2050年のカーボンニュートラル実現に向けた全学的な行動計画として、具体的な目標と取組を定められました。
北大病院では再開発整備計画が検討され、エネルギー面での取組についても、病院としての特殊性や効率性のみならず、GHG排出量削減も
考慮しなければならない状況です。
GXセンターとしても、多くの先生方のお知恵を頂戴しながら進めることとしています。
今回のGXサロンでは、北大病院再開発計画とエネルギーに関して情報交換を行うと共に、実務面と研究面の双方から議論できればと思って

本学の学生に対し、海外の大学及び研究機関等に渡航し、半導体に関する専門的教育研究に従事する機会を支援し、高度半導体人材の育成に寄与することを目的として、標記事業の支援希望者を募集いたします。
つきましては、別紙募集要項を参照の上、貴部局等において申請要件を満たし支援を希望する者がいる場合は、貴部局等において別記様式第１号から別記様式第３号までとりまとめ、申請期限までに当担当へ提出いただきますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。
※昨年度からの主な変更点
・申請要件に所属部局等における渡航先機関との契約、海外渡航時の危機管理（※）等、必要な支援・手続きを行っていただくよう、体制確保を要件としております。
・支援額について、旅費等の支援額を「原則として200万円を上限」に支援することとしています（昨年度は旅費150万円が上限でした）。
・申請書の記入項目（部局長・学生・指導教員）の各項目の内容を見直しています。赤字の※印の記入要領等に従って記入願います（申請時に赤字箇所は削除してください）。

この度、当課で事業を担当しているJST大学発新産業創出基金事業スタートアップ・エコシステム共創プログラムに基づく、
2026年度 HSFC GAPファンド（ステップ1） の公募をいたします。
本プログラムは、北海道地域におけるスタートアップ・エコシステム形成を目的とし、
大学等に所属する研究者が持つ研究成果を活用して事業化を推進し、大学発スタートアップの創出を通じて研究成果の社会実装を目指すものです。
このことについて公募対象者に広く周知をしたく、貴部局等に所属する教職員・大学院学生に対して、ご周知いただきますようお願いいたします。
【対象となる事業内容】
GAPファンド（ステップ1）:大学等における研究成果（シーズ）の事業化可能性を高めるための研究開発課題を対象とします。
研究段階にある技術について、追加実験や性能検証、用途探索、市場性の検討等を行い、将来的な起業および事業化に向けた基盤を整備することを目的とします。
本ステップは、起業を目指す前段階として位置づけられ、研究成果を社会実装へと展開するために必要な技術的・事業的課題を整理し、次段階（ステップ2）における概念実証（PoC）やスタートアップ組成につなげるための準備フェーズとなります。
【募集プログラム】
本公募では、研究シーズをもとにスタートアップ創出を目指す研究開発課題を募集します。
（採択予定件数：計25件程度）
●ユニコーン志向型スタートアップ創出プログラム（U型）
企業価値の最大化を図り、上場・M&AによるExitを志向する研究開発型ユニコーン企業の創出を目指します。
補助金額：500万円／件（直接経費上限額）
事業期間：最長1年間
●ゼブラ志向型スタートアップ創出プログラム（Z型）
地域社会への価値創出と持続的な成長を志向する研究開発型ゼブラ企業の創出を目指します。
補助金額：300万円／件（直接経費上限額）
事業期間：最長1年間
