SHINE Children and Youth Services is a registered charity and a member of National Council of Social Service. SHINE builds and enhances the resilience under-resourced, at-risk and vulnerable children, youth (aged 5-21 years old) and their families, serving more than 8,000 service users each year. We have been serving vulnerable children, youth and their families in Singapore since 1976 and remain committed to enabling them to maximise their potential. The work we do helps to build young lives, enhances their resilience and SHINE the light of hope for their future.
There are 2 ways volunteers can volunteer with SHINE to empower our children and youth to maximize their potential:
Current Needs – Existing volunteer opportunities at https://www.shine.org.sg/volunteer
Co-Creation Projects – SHINE and volunteers work together to co-create meaningful projects that are also aligned to the business competencies and interests of your volunteers. Volunteers can take up the challenge of planning their own volunteer projects (they may refer to this report for an understanding of the challenges children and youth face). You can then submit your proposals at https://www.shine.org.sg/volunteer.
