Evaluations are essential to help staff to learn and grow within the position. All evaluations will take into consideration a number of items including (but not limited to):
Informal and formal observations
Following all rules, regulations, policies and procedures set forth in the Project HELP Program Handbook in addition to EIASE’s policies and procedures.
The ability to work cooperatively, to complete required tasks and to work independently when necessary.
Displaying positive, professional interactions with parents, students and staff
Teacher Evaluations will also be based on:
Developmentally appropriate, standard based lesson plans and student interests and abilities derived from assessments in ELS.
Portfolios that are aligned with IELDS
Parent education and communication
ECERS-3 compliant classroom
Adhering to PFA Grant requirements
Turning in all required paperwork into the office in a timely manner.
All documentation will be uploaded in a shared folder in google drive.
*All Non-Tenured Teacher evaluations will be completed by March 1 and Tenured Teacher evaluations will be complete by May 1.
*All classroom paraprofessionals will be evaluated annually. This will be conducted by the classroom teacher and the Program Director prior to the end of the school year.
There are three components to the EIASE Teacher Evaluation Plan:
Professional Practice
Student Growth
Teacher Attendance
All three components will be used with the following ratios, Professional Practice (60%), Student Growth (30%), Teacher Attendance (10%).
With Informal Observations:
No pre‐observation form, notice, or meeting required
Observation - No minimum duration specified or required
Following an informal observation, the qualified evaluator shall provide feedback to the teacher either orally or in writing (electronic or paper)
If the feedback is in written format, the teacher shall be provided with an opportunity to have an in-person discussion with the evaluator.
The Project HELP Informal Classroom Observation Form may be used to guide the informal observation data collection and report on PFA grant requirements.
Formal Observations:
Pre-Observation Form (click template above and complete) required from teacher prior to Pre-Observation Meeting.
Observation. Minimum of 45 minutes, a complete lesson, or an entire class period
Written (electronic or paper) feedback of observation will be provided to the teacher by the evaluator.
The teacher shall submit a completed Reflections form to the evaluator within 5 school days of the formal observation (click template above to complete).
The qualified evaluator shall meet with the teacher to discuss the evidence collected about the teacher’professional practice within 10 school days of the formal observation.

The teacher will monitor SLO growth based on information gathered and analyzed at the beginning and end of the stated interval of instructional time.
Collect a variety of formal and informal formative assessment data to document student progress toward the SLO.
An example would be a daily sign in sheet as note in sample provided here.
Document progress on the student data tracking form (page 2 of SLO template that was turned in and approved).
The teacher may request a meeting to review data and may request evaluator consider modifying the SLO if needed.
