SHelby Mourey Reed

Shelby Mourey Reed is a 2015 graduate of Eastern Hancock. Shelby earned three varsity letters in basketball and four in track. Shelby was named the most improved player on the basketball team her junior season.

Shelby excelled in track and earned her recognition tonight with those accomplishments. She is one of only three Eastern Hancock athletes to be a two-time state finalist in track and field, qualifying in the high jump in both her junior and senior years. Shelby was a three-time sectional champion in the high jump and regional champion as a senior. She also was a two-time regional qualifier in the 4x100 relay. Shelby was Mid-Hoosier Conference champion in the high jump and 200 meters as a senior. Shelby is currently the school record holder in both the high jump and 4x100 meter relay.

Shelby continued her track career after high school at McKendree University. Shelby placed third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the high jump as a junior. She set the school record in the high jump and the sprint medley relay, with the relay record still standing. She was also academic all-conference twice at McKendree.

Shelby graduated from McKendree University with a degree in business administration. She currently works for AYA Healthcare as a recruiter. Shelby, her husband Damian, and son currently live in South Whitley, Indiana.
