ABOUT TROY
Troy Hershman, MS, LAT, ATC, Hancock Health BS: Ball State University 1992 MS: University of Utah 1995
Troy has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 31 years. Prior to coming to Eastern Hancock he spent 15 years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Ball State University working with men’s basketball and men’s and women’s golf. He has worked at Central Indiana Orthopedics, Muncie, IN as an athletic trainer/clinical assistant, an Assistant Athletic Trainer with football at Indiana State University and the Head Athletic Trainer at Saint Joseph’s College.
Troy was the co-medical director for the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
In 2018 he was awarded the Athletic Trainer Service Award by the National Athletic Trainers Association for dedicated service and outstanding contributions to the profession of Athletic Training.
In 2011 he was inducted to the Cardinal Sports Medicine Society Ring of Honor for outstanding contributions to the Ball State Athletic Training Program.
Currently he is involved with the Henry County 4-H program serving as a Blue River Valley 4-H Club leader and the President of the Henry County 4-H Association. He resides in northern Henry County with his wife Cindy and their 3 children Carolyn, Sam, and Jacob.
