Daniela Debnarova Drobna

She is a 2010 graduate of Eastern Hancock. Daniela was an exchange student from Slovakia who became one of the most successful individual athletes in Eastern Hancock history. 

Daniela is our only girl’s tennis player to advance beyond sectional play. She was a state finalist, won her quarterfinal match and finished fourth at the 2010 IHSAA State Finals. 

In addition to her state tournament success, Daniela was also sectional, regional, White River Athletic Conference, and Hancock County Champion, and was named team MVP. 

Daniela returned to Slovakia and graduated high school. She graduated with honors from Comenius University and was accepted into the master’s program at the University of Southern Denmark. Daniela worked as a tennis coach and played for the women’s team in Odense, Denmark. After studying a semester abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico, she finished her studies a semester later at the university in Denmark with a masters in Economics and Business Administration. 

Daniela resides in Copenhagen, Denmark with her husband and 13 month-old daughter, Karolina.
