Breanna Lawyer

Breanna Lawyer is a 2011 Eastern Hancock graduate. Breanna earned 4 varsity letters each in cross country and track. 

Breanna was cross country sectional champion in 2008. She was a 4 time semi-state qualifier. Breanna is a four time all-conference runner, three time county champion, two time Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches second team all-state, and remains the school record holder in the 5K, and for most wins in a single season and career. 

In track in the 1600 meters, Breanna was a two-time state qualifier, indoor state qualifier, 2009 sectional and county champion, three-time regional qualifier, and the Hancock County record holder. She was also the county champion in the 3200 meters in 2009 and conference champion in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters in 2009 and 2010. Breanna remains the school record holder in both the 1600 and 3200 meters. 

Breanna’s nomination stated “no student athlete has ever set a better example for the highest standards in the Eastern Hancock athletic program. Breanna showed that Royal athletes don’t have to take a backseat to the big schools, but can truly go out and compete with the best girls in the state.”

Breanna was a member of livestock judging teams at Blackhawk East in Kewanee, Illinois and Purdue University, where she earned her degree in Ag Business. At Blackhawk, she was high individual at the National Western Stock Show and named a member of the All American team. At Purdue, Breanna was a member of the National Champion Senior College Livestock Judging Team,  

Breanna is now a Crop Protection Territory Manager for Corteva Agriscience in Southeast Florida.
