AP English 11: Language & Composition Course # 02240 This course prepares students to be skilled readers of prose written in a variety of periods, disciplines, and rhetorical contexts and skilled writers who compose for a variety of domains—narrative, exploratory, expository, argumentative—and on a variety of subjects from personal experience to public policy, from imaginative literature to popular culture. The AP Language and Composition course's purpose is to prepare students to read complex texts with understanding and to write prose of sufficient richness and complexity to communicate effectively with readers.
