Xavier Thames is a basketball player from Pleasant Grove high school who earned All-Delta River League honors his sophomore year. His junior year, he was named first team all-league and second team all-city. In 2008, he signed a letter of intent to play for Washington State University. His senior year he was selected again for both first team all-league and second team all-city. At Washington State, Xavier started in 4 games as a freshman and averaged 4.6pts, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. During his sophomore year, he transferred to San Diego State, where he earned honorable mention All-Mountain West accolades, and averaged 10.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. During his junior year he was named the Mountain West Player of the Year, and averaged 17.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.6 steals in an average of 31 mins per game. In the 2014 NBA Draft, Thames was selected by the Toronto Raptors in the 2nd round, 59th overall. Professionally, Thames has played for the Liga ACB, NBA G League, Macedonian League, and more. Xavier has won the Latvian League championships, the Macedonian league championships, and the Macedonian Supercup.
