Cody Demps was a dual athlete from Pleasant Grove High School, both as the starting quarterback for football and a forward for basketball. As a senior in high school, he completed 67% of his passes for 1794 yards and 22 touchdowns. For basketball, he averaged 15.6 points per game. As an eagle, he was named the Delta League's Co-Offensive Player of the Year for football and First Team All-Metro by the Sacramento Bee for Basketball. After high school, Cody played for the Sacramento State Hornets basketball team, and started for his final 3 years. He finished his college athletic career tied 4th for games started (86), 5th in games played (114), and 7th in assists (286). After college, Cody played for the Stockton Kings for 3 years, and earned a 10-day contract in 2019. He has mentored players on the NBA G-League Ignite, and then travelled abroad to play internationally. He spent 2 years in the Israeli league, playing for the Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and then moved to Japan to play for the Toyama Grouses. He currently plays as a point guard for the Elitzur Netanya B.C. in the Liga Leumit.
