 5AS turn for Basketball at Fitz this half term. 

Science - conductors and insulators. 

We tested how fast boiling water cooled down in cups wrapped with different materials. We read the thermometers each 5 minutes to see which materials were better thermal insulators.

A brilliant start to Science week...

First we worked with the year 6 teachers to answer the question - How does the shape of a sycamore seed affect the dispersal distance?

Then we worked in our own classes to find out why and how birds build nests. We built some nested and tested them to see if they were waterproof and windproof. We also marked them for shape and comfort.
