Our Taste Investigation
Today we had the chance to test out our taste buds! We tried different foods to see if we could identify what they were without using our other senses (such as sight and smell). We then came up with loads of adjectives to describe their taste and texture.
Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from a scientist! She showed us how to mix together our very own witch potions and we carried out an experiment to find out which one would be the most bubbly!
Today we took a trip to Rayleigh Library. We had a workshop with a lovely member of staff that showed us how the library works and introduced us to our new topic all about... Rayleigh! We explored photographs from past and present Rayleigh and worked hard to compare similarities and differences.
Summer Games - 2K
We were lucky enough to be invited to The Deanes School for a 'Summer Games' event with other local primary schools. We had lots of fun participating in a range of events based on skills we have been learning about this year including target throwing, dribbling of a ball and passing a ball to a partner.Â
Yoga!
Today we were able to join together as a year group to do some calming yoga in the hall. This was a great opportunity to get to know our new classmates better!
Rayleigh landmark chalk pictures
We loved using our sketching skills to have another go at drawing our favourite Rayleigh landmark including the windmill, The Dutch Cottage and The Holy Trinity Church. We enjoyed using chalks to create these and we were very proud of our work!
We really loved our Macmillan coffee morning raising money for charity and eating delicious cakes. Thank you to all that attended and donated!
We have absolutely loved having you this year! We wish you a wonderful summer and all the best in Year 3!
