Session 1: Canvas PD Review and Universal Design for Learning

Tasks To Earn Credit: Do List - In On Your Course: Due February 23rd, 2023

• Create the page, assignment, and quiz into your own Canvas course. 

1. Part 1: Create a page that includes a table, an embed of a tool or video, and photos

2. Part 2: Create an assignment that includes the following:

   1. Embedding a Video to Frontload Content

   2. Embedding Padlet, Google Slides, or Flip in the assignment description 

   3. Create a Google LTI Assignment through a document or slideshow that students interact with their own copy on. Or, create a PDF student annotation assignment.  

3. Part 3: Create a quiz on Canvas with five different multiple choice questions, a video, and photos placed into the questions.

Note: All facets that you create, will need to be created in your own Canvas class and interacted with students to earn credit.  

Session 2: Canvas PD Review and Universal Design for Learning

To Do List to Earn Credit: Due February 23rd, 2023

• Create the page, assignment, and quiz into your own Canvas course. 

1. Part 1: Create a UDL Lesson Sequence that involves the following:

   1. Frontloaded Content and Formative Assessment

   2. Guided Practice with Active Learning/Cooperative Learning

   3. Independent Practice Activity that involves a playlist

   4. Formative assessment and metacognition activities for the end of your lesson

      1. Formative assessment

      2. Summarization

      3. Self-assessment

   5. Feedback provided on assignments to students in Canvas after they complete the tasks
