Welcome to VCE Music @ Edgars Creek Secondary College!
The study of Music at the VCE level will enable you to:
Develop and practise musicianship
Perform, create, arrange, improvise, analyse, recreate, reimagine and respond to music from diverse times, places, cultures and contexts including recently created music
Communicate understanding of cultural, stylistic, aesthetic and expressive qualities and characteristics of music
Explore and strengthen personal music interests, knowledge and experiences
Use imagination and creativity, and personal and social skills in music making
Access pathways to further education, training and employment in music
Participate and present in life-long music learning and the musical life of your community.

It is critical for your VCE success that you are involved in these programs.
Edgars Creek Secondary College runs an exciting instrumental music program with amazing teachers and a fun learning environment.
We also run a number of lunchtime ensembles you can join and rehearse/perform with!
Regular concerts take place throughout the year for students doing lessons, ensembles and VCE Music.
Ask to one of the music teachers about signing up or complete a form below with your parents/guardians help.
You will need access to Google Classroom EVERY CLASS. Please make sure you have your device and ensure it is charged for every music lesson! If you are having any issues with your device or google classroom, please let me know as soon as possible.
Your classroom and instrumental music teachers will be a great resource for you during your studies. They have practical experience, diverse skills and specific expertise in the music industry. Use them as a resource to support your development as a musician!
