SPEAK UP
On Wednesday 30th of October 2024 Year 9 students will be provided with a Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Day with the aim of ‘Developing students’ social, emotional and positive relationship skills’.
Students will pre-select the program they would like to attend from 2 different offerings:
DOT COM is a high impact, immersive full day program which aims to empower students to take charge of the challenges and possibilities of their world - on and offline - with empathy.
FEMALE IDENTIFYING STUDENTS SHOULD attend DOT COM.
NON-BINARY STUDENTS who are NOT comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of young men SHOULD attend DOT COM.
Based on the Rites of Passage framework, the workshops create safe spaces for participants to have real conversations with each other. They include group-building activities, interactive games and healthy discussions on mental health, relationships and consent.
This event is for young men and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of young men.
MALE IDENTIFYING STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE MAN CAVE PROGRAM.
NON-BINARY STUDENTS who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of young men may choose to attend MAN CAVE.
