Sports Academy
SPORTS ACADEMY
Sports Academy aims to enhance students’ capacity to participate effectively in physical activity and sport, leading to improved quality of life for themselves and others.
Within this course students will participate in a variety of physical activity contexts to develop their movement skills, communication, leadership and promote problem solving and collaboration. Students will also deepen their understanding of Australia’s Sporting Identity and Technology in Sport through an integrated approach across theoretical and practical settings.
Sports Academy is a foundation elective for Stage 5 Physical Activity and Sports Studies.

Practical Component:
Individual and team sport, fitness activities, competitive and non-competitive games and leisure and recreation activities.
