The Japanese Stage 5 course provides opportunities for students to engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Japanese-speaking community. Through learning Japanese, students develop communicative skills in the language, an understanding of how languages work as a system and intercultural understanding capability.
This course provides the opportunity for students to develop effective communication and linguistic skills in Japanese, and deepen their understanding the role of language and culture in Japanese society.
By the end of the course you will be able to talk and write about the following topics:

· family and friends
· going out, sport and hobbies
· food, drink, shopping
· and so much more!
You will also gain skills in writing and interpreting Hiragana, Katakana and some Kanji.
