School Hours

Bell times:

School commences: 8.55 am. 

Learners can arrive at school from 8.30am for supervised play.

Break 1 

Play: 11.00 am - 11.30 am

Eating time 11:30 am - 11:40 am

Break 2 

Play: 1.30 pm - 2.00 pm

Eating time 2:00 pm - 2:10 pm

  School finishes: 2.55pm

We follow the ‘Play, Eat, Learn’ model. This model moves around recess & lunch and playtime to allow children to play first, then return to the classroom to eat. This sequence helps children regulate their energy levels, transitioning from heightened state of play to the calming effect of eating, preparing them to focus on their learning. Research indicates several benefits of this approach, including increased food and water consumption, a calmer lunchtime atmosphere, fewer behavioural issues during playtime, improved attention in the classroom. By not rushing through lunch to get to play, children experience less stress and greater readiness to learn.   

For safety reasons it is important that your child does not arrive at school until 8.30am. Teachers do not commence duty until 8.30am. Any child who does arrive before this time must sit on a seat in the wet weather shed. Children must be picked up at 2.55pm. There are no teachers on playground duty after 2.55pm. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children before 8.30am and after 2.55pm.
