Learner Dispositions

Learning dispositions are the attitudes and habits of mind that help learners approach learning with confidence, curiosity, and resilience. 

At Lapstone Public School, learners use learning dispositions to navigate challenges, solve problems, and take ownership of their learning. These positive approaches to learning are just as important as academic skills as they help children become lifelong learners who enjoy and value the learning process. By encouraging these dispositions at home and in school, we support learners to become confident, independent, and engaged learners.

The learner dispositions that we focus on at Lapstone Public School are: being a learner that is collaborative, creative, a critical thinker, determined, reflective, resilient and a risk taker.
