Your child will explore ideas and phenomena that nurture their curiosity. They will learn to observe, develop questions and test ideas during hands-on experiences. They will apply critical and creative thinking to create and build objects and use digital devices. Your child will explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Knowledges of the natural world, recognise the variety of living things, materials and objects on Earth and in the sky.
In Early Stage One, learners will:
identify and describe characteristics of living things, properties of materials, and movement
pose questions based on observations to collect data
identify and use technologies to make products to address user needs or opportunities
