Our Favourites

Will Savage - Good Will Hunting

It really speaks to me as I’m just so much smarter then everyone around me, just like young Matt Damon

Joseph Fattah - Synecdoche, New York

The movie is about a guy who makes a play that ends up taking over his life. I like it because of all the subtitles and because it's super confusing...

Ian Polczynski - Local Hero

Stunning cinematography in a gorgeous setting and a brilliant soundtrack. Charmingly quirky yet also beautifully touching and subtly thought provoking.

Imogen Aikin - High School Musical (All of Them)

Ultimately the best Movie Series EVER! Who doesn't love the intensity of Gabriella and Troy's love story. The most amazing soundtrack out there.

Mia Clark - Parent Trap

It was my favourite childhood movie and I’ve watched it like a billion times. It’s also well known and has an interesting storyline. It’s just a classic and it’s good.

Luke Klusman - Iron Man

Because Robert Downey Junior is is an absolute beast, he is relatably human and very flawed, but took responsibility for his mistakes and becomes a badass with a suit who jams out to AC/DC's Back in Black. This movie is the origin for the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe and introduces one of the most beloved characters in cinematic history.

Zoe Richter - The Martian

This movie uses really cool science to tell the story of a guy who gets stuck on Mars. It's not super complicated to follow and very good.

Charles Barnum - Batman, The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger's terrific performance and portrayal of the joker and excellent storyline

Iliana Niu - Harry Potter

Because classic

Amelia Thorne - Pitch Perfect

It's a lighthearted easy to follow comedy with fun songs throughout... Also Anna Kendrick <3)

Oliver Adey - Focus

Honestly a 10/10 movie in my opinion, with a combination of a great cast ( Margot Robbie <3 & Will Smith) alongside being a sporty rendition of an action movie - both being my favourite genres.

Zann Shaikh - Inception

Can't go wrong with Chris

Mia Purkiss - Money Heist

Action packed Netflix series that I fell in love with. The story is about a heist that takes place in Spain involving the help of many unique characters who meet as strangers and become more like a family as they embark on a dangerous journey together. All of the characters are named after famous cities, which in some way or another reflect their personalities. My favorite character is Narobi (named after the capital city of Kenya). She is a loveable yet utterly savage woman who (without giving too much away) has a very heartfelt and emotional backstory. The series is originally in Spanish but can be dubbed to English, however the exotic Spanish accents make it all the more exciting so I just watch with English subtitles instead. This series gives me life so I highly recommend it. Xoxo Mia

Georgina Laybutt - 50 First Dates

It’s a sad romantic movie. Makes me cry every time.

Hannah Dobson - Nightmare Before Christmas

The animation in the movie is very interesting (claymation) and Tim Burton's direction is very intriguing because of the creepy vibes.
