What is the Executive?
The Executive is the part of the government responsible for making sure laws are followed, creating plans, and managing the country.
Bhutan's Executive:
In Bhutan, the Executive is known as the Lhengye Zhungtshog.
It is made up of Ministers from 9 ministries, like the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, etc.
The Prime Minister leads the Executive.
Key Roles of the Lhengye Zhungtshog:
Understand Situations: They keep an eye on what’s happening in Bhutan and around the world. For example, if there’s a natural disaster, they figure out how to help people.
Set Goals: They decide what Bhutan should aim to achieve. For example, they might plan to improve healthcare by building more hospitals.
Make and Carry Out Plans: They create plans for the government, like building new roads, and make sure these plans are put into action.
Represent Bhutan: The Executive acts on behalf of Bhutan in meetings with other countries. For example, the Prime Minister might meet with leaders from other countries to discuss issues like trade or climate change.

The Executive ensures that the laws passed by Parliament are followed.
