CUANTIFICADORES

• COUNTABLE NOUNS. Son los nombres contables en inglés. Como su nombre indica, son aquellos sustantivos que se pueden contar y por lo tanto, pueden ir en plural. 

Examples: Water, fruit, milk, oil, money, bread...

• UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS. Son los nombres incontables en inglés. Como su nombre indica, son aquellos nombres que no se pueden contar y por lo tanto, solo pueden ir en singular.

Examples: apple, chair, ball, shop, computer, hamburger...

SOME: 

• En oraciones afirmativas. (*También interrogativas para ofrecimientos: Would you like some tea?)

• Con nombres contables en plural. There are some students in the classroom.

• Con nombres incontables en singular. There is some money in the safe.

ANY:

• En oraciones interrogativas y negativas. 

• Con nombres contables en plural.

• Con nombres incontables en singular.

A: Con nombres contables en singular. There is a computer on the desk.

AN: Con nombres contables en singular que comiencen por vocal. There is an apple in the basket.

MUCH: Con nombres incontables en singular. I haven't got much time now.

MANY: Con nombres contables en plural. She hasn't got many pets at home.

A LOT OF: Con nombres contables en plural e incontables en singular. There is a lot of fruit/There are a lot of bananas.

HOW MUCH: Con nombres incontables en singular. How much sugar is there in the cake?

HOW MANY: Con nombres contables en plural. How many students are there in this class?
