S2 Earth's resources

Chemistry Topic

All of the classroom resources can be found in the PL Pupils > Science > Science S1-3 (BGE) > S2 Earth's Resources folder on the shared Google Drives. Each learning cycle resource includes home learning options as appropriate.

If you want your own copy of the resources, open the file and then from the 'File' menu (or document options button on mobile devices), click on the 'Make a copy' option. This will save the resource to your own Google Drive. Remember to organise your files (you might want to make a Science folder for all of your Science work).

This topic covers the materials we can extract from the earth and other natural resources and how this should be done with sustainability in mind. You will look at fossil fuels and the move towards alternative renewable biofuels and hydrogen. We also look at metals and their recovery from rocks, minerals and ores. The topic ends with the how Chemists can experimentally analyse the environment for traces of pollution and use different soil types for water filtration and purification.

UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EDUBUZZ ACCOUNT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS ANY OF THE FILES BELOW!!!
