S1 Light and sound
All of the classroom resources can be found in the PL Pupils > Science > Science S1-3 (BGE) > S1 Light and sound folder on the shared Google Drives. Each learning cycle resource includes home learning options as appropriate.
If you want your own copy of the resources, open the file and then from the 'File' menu (or document options button on mobile devices), click on the 'Make a copy' option. This will save the resource to your own Google Drive. Remember to organise your files (you might want to make a Science folder for all of your Science work).
This topic covers the transfer of energy using sound and light waves. You will investigate the speed of sound and how this can be changed and how light travels through different materials. You will then look at other types of 'invisible' light such as infrared, ultra violet, X-rays, gamma radiation, microwaves and radio and TV waves and their uses in communication technology, safety and other everyday uses.

Alternatively, you can use the links below. The end of topic test will only be available in class or set via Google Classroom.
Please note that you can only complete these assessments once, so don't submit them until you've covered the material.
