S1 Cells and microbes

All of the classroom resources can be found in the PL Pupils > Science > Science S1-3 (BGE) > S1 Cells and microbes folder on the shared Google Drives. Each learning cycle resource includes home learning options as appropriate.

If you want your own copy of the resources, open the file and then from the 'File' menu (or document options button on mobile devices), click on the 'Make a copy' option. This will save the resource to your own Google Drive. Remember to organise your files (you might want to make a Science folder for all of your Science work).

This topic covers the building block of life - cells. You will investigate the differences between animal and plant cells and look at how some cells are specialised to carry out certain tasks. You will investigate single celled microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses and consider how these, along with fungi can be used and studied safely and help us produce useful substances.
