Neurodiversity refers to a world where neurological differences are recognised and respected as all other human variations. Approximately 15 – 20% of the population has a neurological difference, which includes conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia. We all know people who are neurodivergent, in our families, workplaces and with the people who use health and social care services. Many ‘challenges’ neurodivergent people face are more to do with the environment and systems they are placed in, often designed by a majority population.
