ETSB's 4 Pillars
Who are our students with special needs?
Any student who requires support to demonstrate and acquire knowledge, develop competency, develop autonomy and achieve social integration.
Specifically, but not limited to students with
a disability that may have an impact on academic and school success;
a social or adaptive behaviours difficulties that may have an impact on academic and school success;
a learning difficulty that may have an impact on academic and school success;
any difficulties putting them at risk in their overall development, learning or school success
Parents who feel that their child might experience difficulties at school for any number of reasons are strongly encouraged to reach out to their child’s teacher or school principal.
Sharing what they know about their child's interests, strengths, difficulties and other pertinent information will bring about a better understanding of the student's abilities and needs. Open discussions and communication are key to any child’s school success.
