Updates
We’re excited to announce the launch of Student Success Measures (SSM)—a refreshed, meaningful approach to monitoring student growth and achievement across our district for those teachers not using MAP or Amplify assessments. These district-developed assessments are designed to empower teaching, celebrate learning progress, and support our participation in the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program.
What’s New?
SSM replaces traditional "Student Growth Measures" with a more positive, student-centered focus. These measures have been created at the district level with collaboration from Instructional Specialists and will be implemented by teachers across previous SGM (non-MAP or Amplify) grade levels and content areas. They align closely with our instruction and state standards while offering valuable insights into how our students are growing throughout the year.
Why it Matters:
Student Success Measures are a key component of the TIA. They help ensure that student growth is captured fairly and consistently—an essential part of how educators are recognized and rewarded through the program. They will be used by anyone NOT teaching a MAP tested course. If you teach a MAP tested course, that will be used for your TIA. This is not just about data—it's about highlighting the difference you make in your classrooms every single day.
Changes You Can Expect:
Assessments have been developed at the district level, eliminating the need for campus- or teacher-created pre/post tests.
Assessments will be administered via BrightThinker, streamlining test delivery and making access simple for both teachers and students.
The Director of Student Growth will collect and manage all relevant data, which means no more manual entry into the SGM spreadsheet for most staff, and no additional steps in TalentEd for staff or leadership.
How You’ll Be Supported:
You will receive clear guidance, resources, and ongoing support throughout the process—from assessment design to administration and reflection. BrightThinker training will be sent via email to SSM teachers by September 1.
These changes are intentionally designed to reduce your workload and improve consistency, so we can partner together to Measure What Matters: Student Success!
