Parents and children can feel a range of emotions and struggle with behavioral and emotional concerns.

Crisis/Urgent Response

    • Hennepin County Mobile Crisis Team (available 24/7): This team will respond to the child's location and provide a risk assessment, help to de-escalate crisis, develop a plan to keep the child safe at home, and offer resources and referrals.

      • Also offer telephone consultation and stabilization services are also available.

      • Always call 911 if the child or someone else is in immediate physical danger.

Clinic/Non-Urgent Services

  • Hennepin County Mental Health Services Center serves adults, children, and adolescents who live in the county or receive services from the county.

  • Other providers: Speak to your primary care provider and your insurance company to find an appropriate provider for your needs who is also covered by your insurance. There are many mental health providers in the Twin Cities.

  • The Community University Health Care Center (CUHCC) in Minneapolis offers mental health services in in English, Hmong, Laotian, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese. Other languages available upon request.
