In order to get up and running:

Step 1: Click find my school

Step 2: Click my school isn’t listed

Step 3: Type ACT Education Directorate and select it

Step 4: Student enter their EDU student number and password

Libraries ACT has an abundance of free online services you can access from home. You can get the little ones singing and dancing with Giggle and Wiggle, enjoying story time with Australian picture books, or learning new skills like how to code.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. Readers include Viola Davis, Chris Pine, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Costner, Annette Bening, James Earl Jones, Betty White and dozens more.

Storyline Online is available 24 hours a day for children, parents, caregivers and educators worldwide. Each book includes supplemental curriculum developed by a credentialed elementary educator, aiming to strengthen comprehension and verbal and written skills for English-language learners.

Reading aloud to children has been shown to improve reading, writing and communication skills, logical thinking and concentration, and general academic aptitude, as well as inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Dav Pilkey who was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia as a child is hosting virtual drawing classes for the next 8 weeks.

They will be presented once a week on Friday's and will be presented on his Dav Pilkey at Home website. Click the image to access.

Activities include a Video of how Dav draws his characters for your child to follow. There are also activities that include reading, drawing, creating and fun.
