IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Students attendance during Learning from Home period:

During the Learning from Home period, daily student attendance is now defined as contact established with the student or parent/carer.

Each week on Friday, we will send home a link so you can record your child/children’s intentions for attendance in the following week.

Students will be marked as present if they engage in some form of learning throughout the day.

This may be online or offline learning which makes it difficult for the school to accurately track attendance. Therefore, we will use the attendance intention information submitted by parents to help us mark class rolls.

If you have indicated that your child will be attending, and they are unable to participate in any learning on any given day, please contact your child’s class teacher so we can update our records.

Please click here to fill out a Google Form (for each of your children) to help us record this week’s attendance.

If you know your child will be away for an extended period of time, some things you should do are:

  1. Contact your child's teacher (by email, phone or on Seesaw). Find out if there are any important concepts or content your child should focus on in order to assist them on their return to the classroom.

  1. Get familiar with the Edu G-Suite platform (particularly for students in senior years). Check out our info page by clicking here.

  1. Set a schedule! But one that provides freedom and flexibility, while also making sure you get everything done. Have a look at our curriculum planning advice below in order to best plan out your child's learning experiences.

  1. Get some resources ready. The Home Learning Hub is developing a bank of resources to assist families in navigating the large selection of education resources available online. Head over to our resources section and have a browse to help get you started.

CURRICULUM PLANNING

  • 60 minutes of Maths activities - (maths dice games, online programs, problem solving worksheets etc.)

  • 60 minutes of Physical activity - (dance and movement videos, indoor/outdoor exercise etc.)

  • 60 minutes of Integrated Learning (Science, History, Geography, Digital Technology, The Arts, Home Investigations etc.)
