My teaching career began in 2002 as the Inclusive Education Coordinator at a high school in Whitecourt, Alberta. My son and I moved in 2013 to be closer to family and I took a job as a Literacy Teacher and Inclusive Education Coordinator at Blueberry School in the Parkland School Division. My passion for teaching and supporting students eventually led me down the path to becoming a Guidance Counsellor. In 2015, I took on the role of school Guidance Counsellor for a Pre K-Grade 12 school on the Alexander First Nation reserve. During the ten years I spent working in this First Nation Community, I rediscovered my love for learning and decided to return to school to complete my Masters in Counselling Psychology.
This is my first year with the Evergreen Catholic School Division, and I feel absolutely blessed to be able to continue working in a profession that I love, with an amazing group of teachers, staff and students. I believe that all students have the ability to be successful in achieving their goals and I look forward to helping them find success with whatever their goals may be.
