I began my teaching career in 2015 in Vegreville, Alberta. The following year, I joined the Evergreen Catholic School community, teaching mathematics and physical education at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic High School. One of the main reasons I pursued a degree in education was my passion for working with students and supporting them in achieving their goals and aspirations. Early on, however, I recognized that academic success is closely tied to a student’s ability to manage their own wellness. I saw a growing need for students to develop the skills necessary to care for themselves emotionally, mentally, and socially in order to thrive. This realization sparked my desire to provide students with not only academic support but also the tools to build a strong sense of personal wellness. As a result, I began working toward a career transition into school counselling.
In 2021, I stepped into a new role within student services at St. Peter the Apostle. Since then, my passion for supporting students has deepened. In this role, I have had the privilege of collaborating with colleagues to provide services for students experiencing social or emotional challenges that affect both their overall wellness and their ability to learn and succeed at school.
As of 2025, I have completed my Master’s in Counselling and am eager to continue growing in this work. I look forward to providing ongoing support to the students and families of Evergreen Catholic Schools, helping them build resilience, develop life skills, and experience success in all areas of their lives.
