Connecting Cultures Through Art
Art plays a fundamental role in the full development of human beings, and from a very early age, people interact with various forms of artistic expression. Art has the power to reach everyone, regardless of cultural standards or the languages spoken by a given group, in any corner of the planet. Through painting, music, dance, sculpture, or theater, children convey a message, portraying certain values of their culture, beliefs, habits, or social dynamics; they share feelings, concerns, worries, and opinions that are received and observed by adults. Therefore, it was deemed important to create a project that allows students to express themselves through various forms and, at the same time, develop significant skills in a playful and motivating way. Visual arts, dance, music, and theater are fundamental areas of knowledge for the global and integrated development of students, in line with the different Skill Areas of the Student Profile at the End of Compulsory Education.
