The Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council School Resource Officers' Network is a working group comprised exclusively of police officers assigned to schools and members of the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office. The Network meets regularly to share information, prevention and enforcement strategies and sometimes arrange training for ourselves. You can also think of the Network as Tech Support for SROs. Mainly we are a resource for each other and a way to connect with SROs in neighboring communities who are sharing clientele, and have no doubt, we all share the same problems, issues and challenges. We also believe strongly in connecting officers newly assigned to a school post with veteran SROs to make the transition easier and more effective.

The SRO Network was founded in 2008 as a sanctioned unit of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council.  While the CCRLEC officially serves all fifteen towns of Cape Cod, and the Town of Nantucket the SRO Network has always reached beyond those boundaries to include SROs from agencies outside the official service area. SROs from Tisbury, Wareham, Plymouth and most recently, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown have joined the Network and regularly attend our meetings.

The CCRLEC SRO Network is the only organization of its kind in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
