The Cape Cod Community College Department of Public Safety protects and serves the campus community. The College employs POST-certified police officers and security officers to provide public safety and emergency services. Additionally, there are partnerships with the Massachusetts State Police, Barnstable County Sheriff's Office and the West Barnstable Fire Department to support operations and campus officers have direct radio communication with Barnstable Police in an emergency. Cape Cod Community College is a 120-acre non-residential campus located in the Town of Barnstable.

The primary military unit responsible for security services at Joint Base Cape Cod is the 102nd Security Forces Squadron. This unit is part of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and is tasked with protecting the base's personnel, assets, and infrastructure on Joint Base Cape Cod.
