Search & Rescue

The Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Search and Rescue (SAR) Team is dedicated to providing assistance to local, state and federal entities, by providing specially trained personnel in the areas of management, search, recovery and unification of missing and abducted persons, disaster response and evidence search and recovery.

The CCRLEC SAR Team searches for all types of missing and lost persons in the wilderness, urban-wilderness interface, and urban environment.  Commonly, these types of missing/lost persons are children, individuals with special needs, elderly/suffering from Dementia/Alzheimer’s, and suspects in a crime.  The Team also conducts evidentiary searches.  Members are trained in “tight grid” search tactics and techniques and can assist with evidence searches of weapons, clothing, blood, phones, evidence from a crime, and clues to locate missing individuals.
