Professional Practice or Student Learning Goal Opportunity!!

Complete your professional learning goal with my help by working on one of three district strategic plan initiatives: personalized/blended learning, project-based learning, or improving your instructional technology skills. Use the below goals and action plans. Fill out this Google form if you would like to work with me on one of these goals and indicate the goal you plan to work on. Once your goals are approved, we will meet to develop a timeline to complete your goal.

  1. Student Learning Goal or Professional Practice Goal: Personalized/Blended Learning


  • Overview: By May 2022, I will create and teach a personalized learning unit aligned to my curriculum. This will include completing a coaching cycle with the ITS to support the project(s).

  • Goal Options:

Coaching cycles can be completed by:

  • Individuals

  • Interdisciplinary teams or pairs

  • Departments

The coaching cycle can span project(s) of any size and duration.

  1. Professional Practice Goal: Complete a Google Level 1 Teacher workshop series asynchronously or synchronously and pass the Google Educator Level 1 Test.


  • Overview: In order to better address Digital Literacy Standards, to personalize instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and to improve student engagement and communication with families, I will earn my Google Educator Level 1 certification before May 2022; I will complete the Google Level 1 PD and will participate in a coaching cycle with the ITS in order to achieve this goal.

    • Departments

Software and App Updates:

  • SlidesMania continues to add more Slide templates for teachers. Her latest slide template is a great way to start class and can be used for both Slides and Google Jamboards.

How to Force Users to Make a Copy of Your Google document So They Don't Edit Yours

  1. Make a copy of the link (URL) to the document

  3. Change edit in the URL to copy

  5. Share the new link and this is what people see when you share the document:

Edpuzzle:

  • Create an Edpuzzle from a podcast:

  1. Download a podcast.

  2. Run it through an online MP3>MP4 converter.

  3. Upload it to Edpuzzle to create an interactive podcast lesson!

  • You can now turn on the ability for students to respond to open-ended questions with audio. All students have to do is click the microphone icon and record their answer!
