Everyday know it, or not waterways are being destroyed either by logging, deforestation, damming, mining or pollution. The stronghold humans have on the life of our planet’s creatures is strong and through the pieces in my exhibit I wish to reconnect people to the wild using the beauty of nature's colors. My exhibit was organized by color to help create a visually pleasing sight for views. It starts with four square shaped canvases on the bottom with different shades of blue to yellows and oranges. The top pieces are fewer. Two pieces on the right feature greenery and a forestry feel and on the left back to a blue, calm vibe. The exhibit not only reflects what my interests as a person are, but also what I find lovely about the world, and why I think it needs saving. In total I have eight pieces in my show. They all follow the concept of nature and it’s beauty. The concept of nature’s beauty is broad, but I focus on creatures, specifically fish. In the bottom left corner of my exhibit it shows two pieces, “American Trio” and “predator Paradise” as these pieces seem similar they are very different. “American Trio” displays three of America’s most common freshwater trout, and their beauty. While “predator's paradise” depicts saltwater tarpon, snook, and a pin fish. The contrast between the two pieces shows the scope of my exhibit, from fresh to saltwater. The next two pieces also explain the huge scope of the exhibit showing another American trout next to a south American fish in “Peacock Bass”. The pieces in my exhibit show the viewer things they may not have ever seen, allowing sparks of interests and a push to saving our world’s amazing fish before they are all gone.
The piece, which displays the head of a hen Brown trout, was formed using an array of colored paint markers. The piece features realistic, but extremely explicit coloring of dark blue to bright yellow. It shows the true beauty of fish in particular Trout Brown Trout.
This piece titled Peacock bass was created using paint markers. The square canvas displays the head of of an Amazon peacock bass with a purple background. This piece is showing the beauty of fish all around the world, helping to emphasize the overall theme that we must protect these amazing creatures from habitat destruction.
The piece shows the three main trout which inhabit American water, Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout. It was created using paint markers. It was made to show the beauty of fish and that people need to work to save them.
This was made using paint markers and acrylic paint. It shows two Tarpon with a snack below, choosing a smaller fish. These salt water fish show some of the beauty under the ocean.
The piece "Gaze of The Wild" shows portrayal of myself looking out into the Wild. This was created using a mix of paint markers, acrylic paints and sharpie markers. The piece shows a good concept of mans appreciation of the wild.
This was created using paint markers and shows a male Brown trout, referred to as a buck, with it's mouth open swimming with a blue background.
This is a photo of a Lake Erie Steelhead (a lake run rainbow trout) I took this picture during quarantine. The photo portrays the beauty not only of the fish, but also its environment.
The piece "Brook Dwellers" was created using a mixture of paint markers and acrylic It shows two Brook Trout swimming around one another. This piece shows how small things are beautiful. Brook trout are small fish, but I put them on a huge canvas to really show colors, and show off the fish.
