Behavioral modification represents the systematic application of a Reinforcement Learning Theory. The basic premise is that behavior is governed by its consequences. Thus, the goal of modifying behavior is accomplished by altering consequences either through reinforcements (e.g., rewards and incentives) or punishments by withholding the positive reinforces.
Being grounded from the Behavioral Modification principle, the Client Management Rating System (CMRS) is a method used in the Center to determine, evaluate, and analyze the level of behavioral progress of the CICL in the Center in reference to his formulated rehabilitation goals and treatment plans. The CMRS encompasses the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team’s integrative intervention strategies, behavioral reform approaches, and psychosocial development activities for the residents.
