Medical and Dental Services 

The Medical Services addressed the signs and symptoms of clients to deliver appropriate intervention. The client needs to present a referral form given by the houseparent on duty. The nurse on duty will do the physical assessment, taking up vital signs, provide initial first aid and refer to the Medical Officer. Thereafter, the nurse will give the medicines as ordered by the physician and carry out     other pertinent procedures. If needed healthcare services are not readily available in the Center clinic, then referral to higher health facilities are provided. 

Upon admission of a resident, the Medical Officer conducts history taking a thorough physical examination. The newly admitted client will be put in isolation rooms until fully completed the    quarantine/isolation days based on their vaccination card. Mandated to complete five (5) days of isolation upon their arrival for fully vaccinated one and 14 days for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

The isolation facility also caters to clients who manifest COVID-19 signs and symptoms such as fever, cough, colds, other flu-like symptoms, communicable diseases and as a recovery facility for those who have undergone surgical procedures outside the Center.

Medical related health lectures are also conducted to help the residents be informed of the timely and relevant medical and health concerns conducted every Tuesday and Thursday.

Monthly conduct of Body Mass Index (BMI) are taken to assess the nutritional status of the residents and to provide proper nutritional or dietary management. Quarterly physical examination is also conducted for all residents by the Medical Officer.

Immunizations for residents are also being provided in the Center. Some of the most commonly scheduled immunization programs are COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.

Dental Services are conducted to address dental problems of the clients. It is conducted quarterly in Partnership with the Provincial Health Office providing free dental check-ups, and dental procedures such as dental filling, extraction and cleaning.
