Wellington Heights

Mrs. Keus' Grade 3/4 class

When we looked at the guidelines, we brainstormed and decided that we would include community through the installation of an Earth Day piece at our local library that we visit each month.

As you can see from the video, it is displayed in the front window and is a double-sided piece.

Every student in our class created a part of the piece. We made use of many different mediums: paint, tissue paper, glue, construction paper, string,  recycled cardboard and egg cartons.

We included 2D and 3D pieces and each student chose an Earth Day slogan that they wrote and is displayed beside the Earth, with encouraging messages about sustaining our planet.
