Basketball Captain
I have been on the varsity basketball team since my sophomore year, every year I've attended drew in high school. It has been a long journey but it has been very fun. I've learned so many things and made countless bonds. I have developed exponentially since my sophomore year when I began and I have learned important life traits.
Being a part of the basketball team has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my high school career because it helped me grow as both an athlete and a leader. Over the past two years, I have served as team captain, and this season I was also the only senior on the team, which pushed me to step up even more. I learned how to lead by example through my work ethic, attitude, and consistency, while also supporting younger players and keeping the team focused during challenges. Basketball taught me responsibility, communication, and how to stay disciplined even under pressure. Most importantly, being captain helped me become a stronger leader by learning how to motivate others, build team chemistry, and represent my team with maturity and confidence.
