The Guernica Project
For this project my group and I were tasked with figuring out how we can grow as a society through conflict. We researched different conflicts going on throughout the world and made art to express them. In Art, we studied different artistic styles inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Guernica and used a variety of references and painting techniques, such as pattern, unity, and gradients, to create our section of a modern recreation of the piece. In Chemistry, we explored how pigments are used to produce paint, then selected our own pigment percentages to create a custom green paint that we later used in our Guernica project.
