Dance has always provided me an emotional and expressive outlet to translet my feelings into movement. My grandfather nicknamed me “The girl that never stops moving.” Dance has taught me so many life lessons; it’s where I learned determination through hundreds of hours of practice. It's where I developed self-confidence while being on-stage performing for hundreds of people. Throughout my enrichment training at Drew, I’ve performed in many recitals, events, and competitions where I continued to grow my leadership in dance. Dance has always been an outlet for me to lean on when I felt weak, and through dance I learned my passion for advocacy and expression.
On the left, is my official Dance Digital Portfolio I've created throughout my pathway in High School. Here, houses the plethora of dance performances, practices, and class training from my 11th grade season. This portfolio provides me the opportunity to relfect and improve on my work, skills, and technique.

March 2024
In March, my Advanced Dance Repertory class was presented the opportunity to travel to New York to attend professional dance classes. This was an eye-opening experience to train in contemporary and modern style classes with Alvin Ailey instructors. Additionally, we went with the Theater and Chorus class, so it was amazing to see the various opportunities for each group to learn more about their craft. Thank you Ms. Mcduffie-West and Ms. Young, for such an enjoyable field trip!
