-Original Creation Myth-
For our first unit, we learned about Native American Literature. An example of Native American Literature we learned about was creation myths. There were lots of stories that involved the theme of something coming into creation. So we did an assignment where we had to write creation myths of our own. I chose to write mine about language. The story takes place in a fictional village, and the citizens of the village communicated through face expressions and actions. However, the problem arises when the main character falls in love with a woman who is blind. He ends up communicating with her through sound, and that evolved into verbal communication.
-Emily Dickinson Project-
We learned about poetry and how to analyze poetry. We were put into groups and were each assigned a different poem from Emily Dickinson. We then had to read and analyze Because I Could Not Stop For Death by Emily Dickinson as a group and make a presentation about what we had read.
