I think it will have a cheery and happy sound to it. I think there will be high strings to sound like jingle bells.
The song was very fast and upbeat, and there were jingle bells in the background.
I think the piece will be a slow dancing song.
The piece is not slow at all, with a lot of quick notes. There are a lot of crescendos and decrescendos. I can hear the separation between the bass and the melody of this song. It switches from piano to forte a lot throughout the piece. I also heard a ritardando towards the end.
I think our Spanish dance piece will have short, fast notes. The key will likely be minor, like many other Spanish songs.
After hearing the song, I realize I was right about the song being very fast. There a lot of loud, emphasized notes and crescendos as well as decrescendos. There are a lot of very high notes.
Borax is a white powdery substance that is used as a household cleaner. Boron, oxygen, and soda are included in borax. We use hot water so that the borax could supersaturate because of the extreme temperature. When the water cools, the borax sticks to the pipe cleaner. My 3D sculpture is dynamic because it includes different shapes such as circles and lines to create a bow.
Our mandalas were a great representation of the STEAM subjects. We included math by using geometric shapes in our paper and our drawings. A main idea we included from our AP World class was religion. We were instructed to include a religious symbol in our mandala, which can be linked to the religious expeditions we've learned about in world history. The mandala helps me consider new perspectives because I normally don't think to put my artwork in a circular pattern. This project was very successful, besides the fact that our orbitals don't rotate around the skewer. I would't change anything about this project.
10/30/23 - 1. I have been taught about point of view which helps me understand geometry and 3D shapes.
2. Our color still life helped me understand color and value.
3. I could start with a sketch, block in basic colors, then add details. I could keep a separate version of my sketch to show my process.
4. We learned about the art style, impressionism.
8/30/23 - In ELA class today, we presented our Gilgamesh characters. We finalized our posters with drawings, quotes, and colors. I worked with Jade, Judah, Langston, and Nemani. We explained some quotes from the story and linked them to the traits of Gilgamesh.
9/8/23 - We watched a short film and analyzed the plot, then we created a plot diagram for our own play.
9/11/23 - We learned how to format our slugline and create the setting for our play. We wrote a scene for our play using dialogue and actions.
9/18/23 - Today we finished our script for our play about the Qin dynasty. We wrote our climax, falling action, and resolution.
9/20/23 - We presented our plays to another group and collected feedback. We also watched their play and wrote feedback to them. We learned about Hammurabi's code and the strict punishments the had in place back then.
9/25/23 - We recorded ourselves acting out the scripts we wrote. I played the role of the mother and the police man. We recorded in the hallway and outside, in the garden.
I don’t relate this activity to any science experiments we’ve done so far because we haven’t done many experiments so far this year.
My partner said that my 3rd arrangement stands out the most because of the shift in direction from horizontal to vertical.
Art is an external representation of one's internal creativity. It could be visual or auditory. Math can be extremely helpful in visual art, specifically geometry. Shape is one of the many elements of art. Geometry could help an artist form and measure shapes, making sure the composition is well done.
I really enjoyed this video because of the variety of different pieces and styles. I like the instrumental song, Moving Target, because all the instruments came together in a fascinating way. I also really like the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” because it's a song that I recognise and love. They played it very well and it was interesting seeing it played on a combination of instruments. I didn’t really enjoy the song “Unrest,” because although it is highlighting Brandee Younger and it is her own composition, it seemed out of place with the opportunity to include other instruments to the song. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the fast paced outro with many instruments coming together for an ensemble piece. The drums go very well with the harp, keeping a quick tempo with the melodic harp.
Weddings are a rite of passage for couples to seal their relationship. Commonly, a harp or a piano is found at a wedding to play classic wedding songs like Canon in D. They are usually very formal events with a lot of food and fancy clothing. There would be a rehersal before the wedding and a reception afterwards.
Prelude is the section of music you play before the wedding starts
Processional is when the groom/groomsmen and officiant walk in, then the mothers and grandmothers, next the flower girl and ring bearer, next the bridesmaids and the maid of honor. Lastly the bride comes with father usually, people stand
The Ceremony starts with a welcome, a message, a reading or a few, a song/worship song, vows, a unification with background music, ring exchange, pronouncement
Recessional song is usually upbeat.

I know that the nutcracker is a very well known ballet with classical songs and artistic dances. It tells the story of a girl who dreams about Christmas adventures. I have seen the ballet at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
The original story was called "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King"
Clara and Fritz were gifted a nutcracker, and Fritz broke it. Then, Clara dreams that it comes to life. Clara arrives at the Land of Sweets. The Sugar Plum Fairy danced to welcome them. The first song from the Land of Sweets, there is a Spanish piece to represent chocolate. Next, there was a dance for coffee from Arabia. Then tea from China, candy canes from Russia, marzipan shepherdesses, Polichinelles, and the Waltz of the Flowers.
I assume that the dance accompaniment to the song "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" would be a medium tempo dance, not too slow and not too fast. There would likely be spins and someone prancing around the stage.
This concerto is very pleasant. I like how there is a contrast between loud, strong music, and quiet, high pitched music. It creates a call and response sort of effect for the song. I also like the crescendos that are included in the piece. They build suspense to a louder, stronger part of the song. The only thing I don't really like in this song is the ending. It sounds out of place and out of key.
